Bathroom Makeover

I've decided to put my creative energy and resources into making my current home into my perfect wonderland.  Ive always liked the way that my house looks, but my style is changing.  Not to mention I spend my day with people under the age of 4 and I just need a creative outlet.  SO what better than to make over my home!

I am a frugal girl.  I'd love nothing more than to go to a furniture store and buy everything new that fits the style Im after perfectly.  Actually, that sounds perfect.  But money doesnt grow on trees, and even if it did, there are so many greater things my money could do....than build my kingdom on earth.  I'd rather wait weeks on the wall decor to go on sale 50% off at Hobby Lobby than to pay full price for anything.

So in doing this: my goal has been (1) repurpose (2) spend as little money as possible.

I have spent the last few weeks rethinking my style - trying to pin point what exactly it is that I want, which direction I want to go, and how to do it as cheaply as possible.  I redecorated my foyer a few times and I've landed on this, which I LOVE LOVE LOVE to no end - and it has been a "dream board" of sorts which will filter through my entire 1600 sq ft of living space.  My hope is to go room by room, wall by wall, taking my time until every detail is perfect :)

My bathroom is small, meaning it was the easiest place to start.  Here are the before pictures.  Mind you: this is when we FIRST moved in.  Over the last few years I've slowly made changes - the wall color was changed last year and I also painted the vanity about 2 years ago.  But for the sake of this post, these before photos are great!
BEFORE (UGH i forgot about that ugly ugly horrible towel holder! That thing was replaced the second we moved in!)

BEFORE

AFTER (coming soon: a rounded stainless curtain rod)
Shower curtain from Gordman's: $7

above the toilet!  Shelves made out of pallet boards = $0 (mounting brackets were $6)
Vase is a bottle purchased for $1.50 from Michaels.  Floral = $2 Michaels.

I created this printable myself and spray painted an old ugly frame I had = $0

Letter A found at Michael's for $2.09 | Wreath made by me!

After: Sink Area (pretend there's a lightbulb in that first globe!)

already had the vase and candle (clearly).  Hydrangea - $3 from Hobby Lobby

The total cost of this bathroom makeover was about $22, which my husband was SUPER excited about!  I love every inch of this space and it turned out EXACTLY the way that I wanted it to! Even if I could have spent $300 redoing this bathroom, I would have done it the exact same way.
