My Wardrobe Predicament
It has been 9.5 weeks since I gave birth to my sweet girl! That's a little over 2 months ago (crazy). I am now finding myself in a bit of a predicament regarding my wardrobe options.
Pants:
I bought some "lounge" type of pants after my c-section to wear around because maternity jeans put too much pressure on my incision (since that's where the elastic on them started). At about 5-6 weeks post op my incision felt well enough to be able to wear maternity jeans, which was a nice change!
Now I'm faced with yet another challenge in the pants department. My maternity jeans are getting too big - and I am far from squeezing my child bearing hips back into my normal size 3/4's. How women shrink back down to their normal jeans so quickly is beyond me. I can still wear the lounge pants and do so without looking like a scrub. However, it would be nice to wear real clothes for a change. So today I set out on an jean-hunting adventure while my gem of a husband stayed home with our little princess. I came home hours later jeanless and completely defeated. I won't tell you what size jeans I tried on (and couldnt button). After I hit a certain size I refused to try on anything bigger. I couldn't bear the sight of such a number.
So, I guess I will stick with my baggy maternity jeans and my comfy pants for a bit longer until I lose some of this weight. That's right. Operation exercise starts tomorrow.
Shirts:
One word: Breastfeeding.
Very few shirts fit as a result of this. I have a few baggier ones that work... but my options are limited. I'm still thinking through how I want to address this. I may stick with the few shirts I have until I lose a few pounds to see if that helps (which, the belly jiggle isnt the problem. The ... top... is too tight... but it is time for the belly jiggle to pack its wiggle and go!)
