Pregnancy: Month 6
I will start the way I always start these posts... I CAN'T BELIEVE I'M 6 MONTHS PREGNANT!! Steven and I will be welcoming our baby girl in 3 months. Gulp.
Week 22
I think baby pie hit a growth spurt this week. I've been taking pictures of my progress in the same tank every week so that i could truly see the growth of the bump. Often times different clothes make you look bigger/smaller, etc... so I wanted to wear the same thing for all of them. Unfortunately that tank isn't really working out anymore. In addition to my growing belly, my hair is growing too! I love it :)
Sleeping is starting to get a bit tricky. I wiggle. A lot. Poor Steven. I'm sure he's glad he works nights so that he doesnt have to wrestle with me all night! I now require 5 pillows on the bed. One for Steven, one for us to share, and three for me to myself.
Week 23
I am starting to use the bathroom a lot more! I've gone from waking up once at night to potty... to about 3-4 times. I hear this only gets worse the further along I get... so i can't wait to see what's in store for me (or maybe i can!)
Week 24
Had a check-up with my midwife (I've already posted about this so I'll save you from having to hear it again!) What I didnt mention was when my midwife measured me she said I was measuring more around 26... which is big :/ However, after the ultrasound Annie seems to be spot on in her development, so maybe I have lots of fluid? Perhaps my midwife will have some insight when i go back to see her at week 27! Annie moves a lot and even responds to Steven's voice. Whenever he talks to her, she kicks :) It's the sweetest thing! I also got her nursery [mostly] painted! I free-handed a mural on her wall (see below) - isn't it the cutest?!
Week 25
I feel like my belly is growing at a rapid rate. Oh wait, that's probably because IT IS! I feel a bit whale-like, but I haven't seemed to gain much weight in the last 2 weeks, which I do not consider to be a bad thing :) Oh.. I can see the inside of my belly button - and if I push a little around it, it turns inside out. It's only a matter of time before it'll do that on its own! The good news is: my husband still thinks I look pretty swell and still has trouble keeping his hands off of me. Wait, was that TMI? hehe...

Week 26
Only 14 more weeks! AAH!! I've been reading a few books my midwife gave me about natural birth... and although I am still insanely nervous about a little baby coming out of a .. uh... yeah... I'm feeling more excited about our choice for Annie's birth!
I went to see my midwife today, August 20th (3 days away from week 27) and everything is looking great! I had my glucose test and everything is perfect! I got to hear her little heartbeat and while we were listening, she had the hiccups. Annie baby hiccups are the cutest! I also got to experience braxton hicks contractions! When my midwife was pushing on my tummy to try to find the baby, she gave me the contraction. After she pointed it out to me, I'm thinking that maybe I've had a few of these... they don't hurt at all - my stomach just got really really tight. I thought it was just the baby moving, but sure enough it was a contraction! Some of what I've felt has been her moving, but some have been contractions. Interesting...
I'm still measuring 2 weeks larger than what I am... but my midwife says its because Annie is laying sideways. Once she straightens my measurements should be normal..
The last thing I have to share about is: Annie's room is FINISHED!! That's right! 100% complete!! I cannot tell you how excited I am about it! Here are some pictures: (click to enlarge)
