Pregnancy: Month 5

Wow!  5th month of pregnancy.  This means I'll have a baby in 4 months.  Gulp.

Week 18:
I am FINALLY feeling the little flutters of my Annie baby!  I felt her once early on (around week 12 or 13) but nothing since really.  I feel her when I'm laying still typically - she's an active little thing.  Being able to feel the little person growing in me is probably the most magical part of pregnancy.  Other than that and a little breast tenderness, I still feel pretty normal.. so it's a nice reminder that I am, in fact pregnant!!

I also discovered that, as it should,  my body is producing colstrum in preparation for baby girl!  I will spare you the details of how I know this(you mamas probably know anyways)... let's just say that I find this part weird and hilarious.

Week 19:
Annie is becoming more and more active (not to mention this girl is growing).  I can feel her randomly throughout the day instead of just when I'm being still... it amazes me... and I find myself giggling every time I feel her wiggle.

This greatest part of this week had nothing to do with pregnancy... but that MY HUSBAND IS HOME!!!  After being away for job training for three long, long weeks - HE'S BACK!!!  This was also a very crazy week for us:  Quitting my job, packing our moving truck, and driving away to our new home in Missouri!! (I'll blog on this later)

My work threw me a going away party - which was awesome We got a swing and other great gifts for Annie!  Church threw us a going away party/baby shower also!  Thanks to everyone for the gift cards and presents!!

Oh - and also... Steven got to feel Annie move for the first time!  It was pretty incredible.

Week 20:
I was able to actually see my belly move (from the outside) when Annie kicks.  I could watch this all day!

Week 21:
Annie has developed a pattern to her wiggles...which only makes sense.  She is pretty still and quiet throughout the day while I'm on the go.  However, when i first wake up - she kicks like crazy!  Today (July 14th) she started moving the second Steven walked through the door and said good morning to me.  It was a sweet moment!  She also kicks like crazy right as I settle in to go to bed.  This is probably her most active time during the day.  I have trouble falling asleep because i can't stop cracking up at her.   Steven is able to feel her move more and more.  He loves it!
We still can't believe there's a little baby in me!!!

  1. That's when both my kiddos were most active too. It's strange, but I missed it after Ezra was born. Also, it is neat to see them move once they are born and realize certain little movements are the ones you felt when they were inside you.
