Ugly Sweater Party!
This semester of community groups (study: The Gospel Centered Life) wrapped up last week with a Community Group Christmas Party! Everyone from all 5 community groups got together for one big bash! We were hoping for an ugly sweater party this year - and what greater opportunity than this!
SO, we did it! That was our theme! We played games, ate sweet treats, and we also had an ornament exchange (and played dirty santa... or as West Virginian's call it... a chinese gift exchange or a white elephant gift exchange. Where I come from - its dirty santa)! Towards the end of the party everyone shared how this study impacted their lives & how the Gospel Centered Life has changed them. It was so great to hear how the Lord used this in the body of Crossroads! It was SUPER fun and we had a lot of fun sweaters! Here are a few photos of us! (for more go to www.facebook.com/wvcrossroads)
My sweater had gold beading all over - and the all-classic shoulder pads. Thanks Goodwill! Steven's sweater was purchased at Gabe's... in the women's section. It was awful.
This is my sweet little friend Jazmin! She is the youngest daughter of my bestest friend (besides you Melanie ;) Amanda! When I walked into the party Jazzy (as we call her) says "Miss Ashley! You're beautiful!! Your sweater... it's so ugly!" I adore this little sweetie!
Me and my favorite baby boy - Liam Rountree! We're going to be great friends.
Me, Nikki Rountree (Liam is one of her twins!) & my West Virginia adopt-a-sister Becka!
This is my bestest friend Amanda (aside of course, from Mel!) God has SO blessed me with her & I cannot tell you how thankful I am for her love and friendship! Aren't we great together? Oh.. and then there's the creepy guy in the back. (aka... Adam!)
That looks like it was sooo much fun! I'm glad to know I haven't been replaced just yet. ;) Amanda and I may have to duke it out when I visit--just kidding!
