P with a P
It's amazing how much my photography has picked up since I bought a real ".com" website! I'm a little overwhelmed at the amount of sessions that I have scheduled through the month of October. Fall seems to be a super popular season for photos - especially here in West Virginia. I mean, have you seen this place in the fall?! It is one of the most beautiful things I have ever laid my eyes on. When fall arrives, my brain immediately goes to scripture:
"The heavens declare the glory of God,
and the sky above proclaims his handiwork."
-Psalm 19:1
"May the glory of the LORD endure forever;
may the LORD rejoice in his works,
who looks on the earth and it trembles,
who touches the mountains and they smoke!
I will sing to the LORD as long as I live;
I will sing praise to my God while I have being.
May my meditation be pleasing to him,
for I rejoice in the LORD.
Let sinners be consumed from the earth,
and let the wicked be no more!
Bless the LORD, O my soul! Praise the LORD"
-Psalm 104:31-35
The Lord did an excellent job in displaying his glory here in the mountains of WV! It is a joy to be able to partake in his handiwork!! Seeing the colors of fall also reminds me of Luke 19 - where Jesus tells the pharisees that even if his followers ceased to cry out praises... that the stones would! Nature would cry out! And during the fall... it is SCREAMING!
One thing I want to do is use the talents God has given me to make much of him. While there are MANY far greater at this thing than I, I do believe that the small amount of talent I posses comes straight from Him... and we are to use ALL gifts for His glory. I wrote a post last year about a horse and his girl - about obedience and trust. I want to use every opportunity to grow closer to my Savior, and so I hope as I continue to conduct photo sessions... that the Lord would open my eyes to new truths... and that he would make much of every opportunity. With that said - the goal is to approach every session in that way: God, what can I learn here? How can I further the kingdom through this? So keep an eye out for photo session blogging: Photography with a Purpose. (hence the title P with a P)
