Geocaching
Steven and I have recently gotten into geocaching! We have a friend in Europe who Facebooks about it all the time, so i always thought it was a European thing. A few weeks ago some of our friends started talking about it - and that's when we realized it was worldwide!!
Rather than explain what the heck geocaching is... you can look here to find out:

In a nut shell it is a treasure hunt. People hide things, other people find them using GPS coordinates. Sometimes the hiders will throw in a hint or two, but you mainly find them using the coordinates. They are not valuable... and range from the size of a 35mm film canister to... larger things (that we have yet to discover.) It's a great thing to do - gets you out of the house & you get to explore places that you problaby wouldnt ordinarily go to! To date we have done two geocache hunts. Our first was super fun. We had to go to 5 different locations to collect clues which lead us to the final location. We ended up finding a film canister (which was not easy to spot). Two friends tagged along, which made it even more fun!
We went to Morris Park on Saturday and found a medium sized one out in the middle of the woods. We were caught off guard when we looked down and saw it laying on the ground. Our friends Alisia and Amanda (the ones I mentioned above who started talking about geocaching) were the ones who found it before us... which was kind of cool... and swear they hid it under the rocks (see photo!)
Anyhoo - here are some photos of our find

The geocache is the box on the left. It should have been under those rocks..
The contents inside of one of the ziplock bags that were inside of the container! You can take things out as long as you replace them with something of equal value.
There was even a little train!
Every geocache comes with a log book for you to sign! Our friends Alisia and Amanda were the last to find this one!
Steven & I at the end of our adventure!
