Sweet Savings

I watched a show the other day - I'm sure you all have seen it (and if not, you should because its ridiculous) - Extreme Couponers. People walk into a store, fill up 9 shopping carts full of stuff totalling over $1100 - and pay $20 for it. I mean... really??? Is that even humanly possible? I figure these people have to have a crazy addiciton - and have a ridiculous amount of time on their hands. Or... they are just that good. (I vote the first option). Granted I will never in a million years be that (nor do I aspire to be that) - but I do know that coupons and bargains exist... and have decided that I should pay a little closer attention to the Sunday paper.

With that said, I found a few deals this week and tried my hand at couponing. This is what I came out with:

(Kroger)
10 Boxes of "Mom's Best All Natural" cereal
10 Boxes of Whole Grain Pasta
4 bags of Boulder Canyon all natural chips
1.75lbs Organic Apples
2 packages of Turkey Bacon
2 packages of Nathan's hot dogs (which are typically 5.75 each)
Milk
1 container of Land O Lakes spreadable butter w/ canola oil
Some oatmeal raisin cookies (for Steven's work)
1 pint strawberries
Cottage Cheese
1.5lbs of Organic Pears

And what did I pay for this shopping list you ask? $35.58
That's right. Over $100 worth of food for a whopping $35

Win.
