Insanity Report - Day 15
With insanity, you do a fit test every 15 days... which is when I will update you all on my progress!!
What I've learned:
-This is by far the most challenging exercise regimen I've ever done in my life.
-It is impossible...ok, extremely difficult... to exercise 6 days a week (which is why it has taken me 25 days to make it to day 15. (Which now makes me think - woa, 10days off? really?) But hey - life happens and all you can do is keep going, right
-It is not feasible to follow the food plan. During week 1 I spent 2 hours a night in the kitchen. Not to mention it was getting a little expensive. We are keeping with the general idea of the plan though - eating 5 meals a day... but we're eating whatever healthy things we can/have.>
-I am so out of shape its not even funnY
-I lack discipline and motivation. You would think the fact that I've gained 6lbs in a year and a half would be motivation.
-It's forcing me to think about why I am doing what I'm doing. Is it just to look hot for my husband - or is there greater motivation? My brain is beginning to shift from a "wanting to look hot" mindset to a "God calls us to take care of ourselves" mindset. I could be wrong (and Im not) but I feel that this is where my motivation is lacking. Insanity should be done for the glory of God first, and the good of my husband second ;)
RESULTS:
I have to admit I was super nervous to do the fit test tonight. I mean... 10 days off is a lot. Not to mention I dont really feel like I've made much progress. These workouts are kicking my "you know what." The fit test works like this: you do each exercise as hard and fast as you can for 1 minute. Here are the results:
First number = Day 1 / 2nd number = Day 15
Switch Kicks: 90 / 110
Power Jacks: 50 / 50
Power Knees: 79 / 85
Power Jumps: 22 / 30
Globe Jumps: 7 / 8
Suicide Jumps: 12 / 14
Push-up Jacks: 16 / 20
Low Plank Oblique: 35 / 50
MEASUREMENTS:
Everything was the same except:
-Waist: lost 1/2 inch
-Hips: lost 1/2 inch
-Weight: lost 1.4lbs!
