The Ash Heap
• Spring has sprung!! I wish I had accurate words to convey how stinking gorgeous Morgantown, WV is once it has bloomed! It is gorgeous all year round – but specifically when the mountains are green and everything is in bloom. I cannot help but to praise God when I drive to work everyday! The beauty is unspeakable.
• With Spring = WARM WEATHER! It’s almost May and I’m just now breaking out my summer clothes!
• I have two friends here that are pregnant (one with twins!), one that just had a baby, and a niece that’s due any day now. Fever is increasing, but I am honestly content. We’ve decided that we’re just not ready yet. Next year = different story. I wrote a few months back about the “cycle test” that I’m doing – but I’ll post about that once I go back to the doctor on June 2nd. The Sneak Peek: It’s not looking good :/
• My brilliant husband has straight A’s for the second semester in a row! So glad this semester is almost over. School is FLYING by.
• Steven was awarded the Pratt & Whitney Engine Services Scholarship! He will be presented with a plaque and his $1000 this Friday at an awards banquet. This is SO exciting!!!
• I have my first “business” meeting this weekend with the education board. Luckily it’s in town so I don’t have to travel, but I’ll be in meetings on Friday and Saturday. Im working… on a Saturday. I think Im excited… :/
• I am so completely in love with Crossroads Church! We now have a full time pastor who is incredibly in love with Jesus! We are blown away and challenged by the words that the Lord speaks through him each week. It’s beautiful. To listen: www.wvcrossroads.com. The body of believers is growing and changing – we’ve had so many new people around it’s ridiculous! So thankful to the Lord for the work that he is doing there!
• We are attending (when we don’t have other obligations) a Christian Beliefs class (Based on the book) on Sunday mornings that’s awesome. Learning Doctrine. Sweet.
• Speaking of church, I’ve been in the process for a few weeks of building a new website! (Now, now, I’m not that skilled – it’s a cookie cutter site… I’m just plugging the info in and uploading the sermons, etc..) BUT It’s super sweet!! I’m just waiting on the domain transfer and then it will be up and running. Check it out sometime next week: www.wvcrossroads.com
Finally: Insanity. Need I say more? I wanted to share a photo from the video that I did this morning: PURE CARDIO. It made me laugh so much that I had to take a picture of the screen. At this point the workout portion just ended and we are getting ready for the coo ldown and stretch. I’m certain it says a lot whenever the “people on the video” are on the floor. The instructor is on his back somewhere too. Now… take that – and imagine me. Yeah.
