P90X!!!


My great friend Angie and I decided a few weeks ago that we were going to give P90X a shot! I don't know how many of you remember, but Steven and I started this program last year, but with our trip to the Dominican Republic and the holidays, it went downhill :/ (Oh - and for those of you who don't know, P90X is a hardcore 90day workout guaranteed to make you ripped! You work out 6 days a week for at least an hour (sometimes more) per day... so of course your body will change)


ANYWAYS. I would like to weigh less than what I do - and Angie has some baby weight that she needs to drop & we both want to be healthier/more fit... so we decided to go in on this thing together. We live 20 minutes apart, so we do it individually at our own houses... but we hope that at some point we can get together on a Saturday or something and work out together! Most importantly, we challenge and encourage each other through it - and hold each other accountable to doing the workout!!


We are coming up on the end of week 2 and there are days where I have to take an ibuprofen because my muscles hurt so badly. One of the days consists of lots and lots of pull-ups, which i cannot do - but I use a chair to help me so I can build that muscle. I am looking forward to the day I can do pull ups without a chair assistant. Since this is only week 2, I am not seeing any major results, but I'll keep ya posted as I see them! Prior to beginning this program I took body measurements & weight & before photos... so I can measure my progress! I think after week 4 I'll do a post about what I've seen change.
