The Ash Heap

Lots of things... all at once:

  • I LOVE my new camera! I have done 3 photoshoots since I got it including a senior portrait session & a parade for a politician! I get to do a session with the adorable Hannah Priestley (age 2) this Saturday and am really excited about it! I've always enjoyed "taking pictures" - but photography is a blast! I love it and am addicted.
  • I have a website: http://www.aalexanderphotography.shutterfly.com/ - you should look at it and share it with your friends.
  • Workouts are going well - I am finding that on some days it is almost impossible to get 2 workouts in a day, so I am trying not to beat myself up for not working out twice when things are crazy. Ive been working out for a week and havent lost a pound... I have lost 1/2" off my belly though - which has to count for something
  • I will have access to Fairmont State University's rec center in 2 weeks... which gives me a full gym + pool+fitness classes. Im looking forward to this. I LOVE group exercise!
  • Steven starts school in 1.5 weeks!!!! We have paid his tuition & ordered his books! We go to orientation tomorrow. He is so excited and I am so excited for him! I'm so proud of him and am looking forward to this season of our life. The next 2 years will be hard and exciting all at once - but totally worth the end result!
  • My hair is growing
  • Steven Alexander is the world's greatest husband. Gah I cannot begin to tell you how much I love that man. God could not have designed a more perfect mate for me!!
  • Crossroads is good - remaining steady! We had to redo our entire preschool area - water was coming in ...in a major way! flooring had to get replaced and walls had to be repainted - but it is almost finished and is gorgeous!! The AC/heater is out right now and we are working towards raising money to get this repaired! We can sweat for Jesus... but we can't really freeze for him. Well, I suppose we can if we want to hurry up and see him!
  • We love our little place in Fairmont. It's amazing how much cheaper it is. Our rent + all utilities... is cheaper than what rent alone was in Morgantown. However, we do miss living in Morgantown and look forward to moving back one day!
  • God is good - even when I cant feel him.

  1. I like bullet style blog entries...glad to know someone else uses them. I've started doing that with my regular journal because I can't find time to do a regular entry! I need to find someone I'm good at...I'm a bit jealous of all you photography peeps!!
