What a weekend!!!
This past weekend was one of the most exhausting ones I've had in a while....
Our great friends Trish Smith and Adam Williams got married on Friday! Trish asked me to be her photographer (EEK!)... and I agreed. Thursday night was rehearsal... and Friday was the wedding! I spent 12 hours with her, holding a 10lb camera the majority of the day. I dont care what you say..."taking pictures" is no easy job when it comes to a "once-in-your-lifetime" event!! By the end of Friday I was exhausted, my feet hurt, and my hands were crampy. (I'll have pictures up.... sometime. I took over 1,000!)
Saturday our church had a yard sale in order to try to raise some more money for the Dominican Republic trip. Guess who was "in charge?" I woke up (after having a looooong day/night) at 5:15am and did the whole yard sale thing until 1:15... once the sale was actually over we had about 2 truck loads of thing to box up and donate. Not to mention the sale was inside... which means we had to clean up and put all the chairs back so that it would be ready for church the next day. I did the yard sale thing for 9 hours - and headed home to pack. Our moving crew came at 3:30 and we spent the next 2.5 hours loading our moving truck. Because the week had been crazy we didnt have our bedroom stuff packed up - so that took a while. We loaded stuff up, drove to our new place, and unloaded. By the time we finished everything up, took the Uhaul back... we spent 6 hours on this.
We had to put our bed together, dig through boxes to find shower stuff... we went to bed late... only to wake up early Sunday for church, followed by a day of unpacking.
I'm really tired. I cant remember a time I've ever been so tired. My mom, grandma, and nephew come in 1.5 weeks, so I have to have my house 100% in order... which means the next week and a half will be crazy, so i doubt there will be time for naps :/
