Trusting

In May of 09, Steven and I moved into the Suiter's house... which we are currently renting. Due to lots of circumstances that surround their lives, they have been trying to sell it for the past 3 months or so. A few years ago they put this house up for sale - but after being on the market for over a year, they took it off. God is so crazy cool - words cannot even begin to express. Steven and I have had the joy and privilege of watching the Lord work and move! We have had numerous phone calls from the realtor who has shown the house at least twice a week for the past three months! I'm not sure I've ever seen that much activity on a house (especially having sold one in Arkansas). In three short months of being on the market, the house has SOLD!!

When the house was first put on the market we were assured that we would have 60 days from the time a buyer signed a contract until the time we had to move out - so we were told not to rush to find a place b/c we would have plenty of time!

However, that has not been the case! A few weeks ago we were informed of the exciting news that an offer was made on the house!! At this point it was tentative so we were encouraged not to hurry b/c of the thousands of things that could fall through. God, in his awesomeness pushed this thing through and the Suiter's are closing on the house MAY 15TH! Yes, I am aware that is only 22 days away. Steven and I have 21 days to be OUT of our house.

21 Days to find a place to live. 21 Days to pack. 21 Days to move. Are you overwhelmed yet... because we sure the heck are. We have to be out by May 14th so that the new owners can take over on the 15th. We have been FRANTICALLY searching for a place to live for over a week now and we have come up very short. NOTHING that fits in our price range is available. Actually, there are a few things in our price range but they are completely trashed. We have searched in Fairmont (a neighboring city) and in Morgantown and have yet to find anything. Our goal is to have a place secured by the end of next week - so that we can pack up and spend our final 2 weeks moving there. I know a lot can happen in a week, but we are starting to freak out a little bit.

As we were packing last night my husband said to me, "It's really weird packing up your house when you have absolutely no idea where you're going next." It's an interesting thought. We have absolutely NO idea where we're going.

In the midst of our frenzy... the Lord has had to remind me a thousand times over that He is in control. HE is completely aware of our needs. There is no doubt in my mind that the Lord has answered the prayer of his children by selling their house in 3 months. He knew the Suiter's needs. And just as he knew their needs, he knows ours. Matthew 6 tells us not to worry about tomorrow & Psalm 9 encourages me to Trust in the Lord because he never forsakes those who seek Him.

I KNOW that the Lord will provide. I know beyond a doubt that He is so completely capable of so much more than I give him credit for. It's trusting that's the hard part...

As we are on our knees over the next week before the Lord Almighty, we would like to ask you to do the same. Pray that the Lord would help us to trust in Him & pray that He would provide a home for us.
