A New "Profession"

Over New Years, while I was in Arkansas... I decided to give "cutting hair" a shot! My sister was so brave to be my live mannequin! We ended up having to go a little shorter than we would have liked, but the cut itself turned out pretty great!!

Steven has been needing a haircut in a MAJOR way, but we are having a hard time swallowing paying $20 for a guy's haircut! Granted, that may not sound like much - but when you have to shell it out every month (his hair grows fast)... it's a lot. So yesterday I told him to maybe schedule at the Morgantown Beauty College to get it done because they are really inexpensive. His reply to me was, "Why don't you do it!!" After some thought, we decided that I was going to give it a shot! We went to Sally Beauty Supply and bought some clippers and some shears (aka - scissors) and headed home!!

I was a tad bit nervous, but he was 100% confident that I could do it (based on how my sister's hair turned out). It took me a bit longer than his hair dresser takes... but hey - it was my first time. But... I DID IT!! It turned out perfect! Just like it would have if he would have gone to a salon! We are both really excited about it. We will now be saving $240 a year!! Woo Hoo!

Here are some before and after pics. Now... everyone who sees these are like, "wow.. you really butchered him!" But remember: he was 1.5 months overdue for a haircut. He usually gets his hair cut this short. He was just long overdue!!
