God created us. From the beginning of time He has seen us and known us. From the beginning He has loved us. Completely and Permanently. Just as we have a choice – to choose God or not – so God had a choice – to save us or not. He had a choice to become flesh and dwell among us. He had a choice to die. He had a choice to take on our sins. He had a choice to save us from the inevitable. He chose death. Not for us, but rather for himself. He chose death so that we might live. God is/was not forced to love me. He is God – and God does not HAVE to do anything. But He did and He does. God loves me because He chooses to love me. And nothing can separate me from that love. God has chosen me and I have chosen Him. It is a choice He makes and it is a choice I make. True Love.
