What Does God Expect of Me?!
I've been meaning to blog for the past two days about Sunday morning! As I've said 100 times, I love my church with all that is within me - but more than that, I love meeting with my Savior! Granted, Sundays are not the only days He meets me, but it's a time where I can completely focus on him as I am surrounded by a body of believers who are completely focused on him. It's such a sweet time that I absolutely treasure! Our worship time this week was unbelievable. The Holy Spirit moved among us and swept me off of my feet! I cannot begin to tell you how incredible it feels when you know that you are in the holy of holies, in the presence of the Almighty Maker!
Our focus was on Luke 19 - the parable of the ten minas. Based on this passage of scripture, What Does God Expect of us?! God expects us to be about his business... not ours! What is His business? Seeking and saving the Lost! God has given us life abundantly and often times we simply wrap it up in a cloth and hide it! DONT!! There are people dying to know about Jesus and His salvation! God has also given us specific gifts - and broad gifts - that we are to use for His glory! We need to stop focusing on ourselves and focus on His Kingdom. Quit living for ourselves and live for the reward! Get involved!
Once again, I praise God for the work that He is doing in my life and in the lives of those around me. He has given more grace than I could ever imagine and I am so thankful that He holds me in His hand and never lets me go! Lord, help me to be about YOUR business... not mine. Help me to live for the reward - not the now!
