Living Proof - LIVE
This weekend I went with 11 ladies from church to the Living Proof Live conference in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to hear Beth Moore speak! There is nothing in this world like worshiping the Lord with 6,000 women!! It was so great to be immersed in the words for two days straight: something I so desperately needed!! I am on such a spiritual high right now!! I praise God for meeting me at that place! I just wanted to share a little about what we learned/discussed while there!
We talked about the storm in Acts 27 and how life is so full of storms, and most of the time we never even see them coming! Forces of evil and of the heavenlies are constantly colliding, waging war over what God has in store for our lives. God has a plan for us... for me... but the adversary does too! We are constantly in the middle of a war and the enemy always attempts to counterfeit anything God does! Our tendency is to give way to the storms in our lives - to let them blow us around... but as children of God we must EMERGE from the storm with hurricane force!! Often times God puts us through storms to put is in a spot that would have never even come up on our maps!! And many times we are in storms because our compass points inward, which makes us miserable!! OUR COMPASS MUST POINT NORTH!
To make it through the storm, sometimes we have to cut some ropes - let go of carnal things! If we're ever going to make it... we have to flat out cut them!! Why do we hold on to things so tightly!? When we hold on to things of this world, it keeps us in a state of "constant suspense" - and this will eventually take its toll on us! Life is hard!!! Oh my soul is it hard!! But the point of every perfect storm in our lives is to see the work of God through us UNHINDERED!
The men aboard the ship in Acts 27 endured the storm for 14 nights... yet they held fast and made it to Malta (which in Greek means "A place of refuge")... so when storms arise in my life, I will say:
LET THE WIND AND WAVES DO THEIR VERY WORST... AND I WILL STILL MAKE IT TO MALTA!!
We have to take God at his word!! He PROMISED to complete the work that he has started in us! He has promised to complete the work that he has started in ME!! And I will trust Him and Believe Him when He tells me that!! God can do it... he just has to have my cooperation and my want to!
We're in the middle of a war - we have to win!! We have to stand!!
No power of hell,
no scheme of man,
Can ever pluck me from His hand;
Till He returns or calls me home—
Here in the power of Christ I'll stand!!
ON Christ the Solid Rock I stand, all other ground is SINKING SAND, all other ground is SINKING SAND!
