IHOP

Alas, I have found a temp job! I have put in several applications/resumes for different office-type positions, but since those tend to take a few weeks to kick in, I decided to get a restaurant job while I'm waiting! I can't stand being at home all the time. I really wanted Olive Garden, but IHOP seems to be where I landed!! I was hired on the spot, so that was cool. I'm working a great schedule - 5 days a week, 8-4 with Sunday's off! I'm going to be hostess 1-2 days and then I'll be serving (*waitressing*) the other days! I worked my first full day today - and although I'm still in "training" I've got the hostess part down! (as if it were that difficult) - so yay! I hate the way it feels when you're new and so lost - and can't function without help, so it's great to be able to ALMOST function on my own! There are so many different personalities there - way different from home! I really enjoyed the girls I worked with today - but who knows who I'll work with next time - there are 150 employees there! I know, right?!

So, that's what's going on here!! I'm off tomorrow, which will give me a chance to catch up on some school work and do a few office things for Dave - it's been a while since I've been in there, so I definitely need to get some work done!!
