I Give Myself to You

"If just once you catch sight of the love of God, you will konw the joy of living in His presence."

I started reading "A Day in Your Presence" today, which is a 40-day devotional inspired by Francis of Assisi. It contains writings from this spiritual troubadour who became Europe's shining light. His message is this, "We can cease our struggles and be sons of the eternak King! Take no thought for yourself and He will never fail you, so great is His loving care."

I have so neglected time with the Lord over the past... month, really... to be 100% honest! I've read a little here and there, but it has been quite some time since I have really spent intimate time with my Savior! I guess that's what happens when we lose focus!

Today I am just so blown away by such a simple truth: I AM A CHILD OF THE KING!! Not a king.. but THE KING! I am a child of Jesus! I have a father in Heaven who has promised himself to me... forever! I have been set apart for God's holy use... Oh Lord make me holy and help me to be holy - as you are!!

God... I give myself to YOU!!!
