Easter

Steven and I had beautiful Easter!! It was a little chilly outside, but the sun was shining - it was gorgeous! We started off by going to the best church ever, hearing the most amazing pastor ever! If you want to be bombarded with truth, go to:

and listen to today's message! It will rock your world!!

After that we had dinner at "our" house - turkey, stuffing, the whole 9 yards! Our WV family came, so we had a great time!! Lunch was reeallly good - and the company/conversation was even better!! We watched Brannon and Anna hunt Easter eggs... their first time ever - so it was really exciting for them!! I miss doing that as a child! We hunted with like, 20 cousins, so it was a massive competition! We would meet at my uncle's house and wait while all the adults hid the eggs - and I mean, they were HIDDEN! They would unleash us all at once and the race was on!! There were hard boiled eggs, plastic eggs, eggs with candy hidden in them, eggs with a quarter in them, and then there was the BIG egg... you know, the massive plastic one?! THE PRIZE EGG that had like... $2-3 in quarters! OH yeah baby! Geez, we had so much fun... but we never talked about Easter - why we celebrated. We just knew that the Easter Bunny was coming to bring us gifts... because that's what he does! We didn't know that Easter was a celebration of the ressurection of Christ!! No one ever taught us that part -

I praise God for the gift of grace... and for dying on the cross and justifying me!! As our pastor said - (and this is a complete paraphrase!) Easter really isn't that big of a deal... sure we celebrate/remember Christ's resurrection... but in all reality, we get to celebrate "Easter" 60 times a minute!! Christ died and rose... and it is through that that we are justified and sanctified... and that's something to celebrate every second!!

Wow, I still can't believe we live here! God is so good!!!

  1. I think Morgantown and Arkansas switched places! Our Easter was cold and it rained ALL DAY! I'm glad someone got to see some sunlight :)
