3 years... so unlike me!!
He's here!! He's here!! My love has returned home from his weekend trip! He left Thursday - got home around 6:00 tonight! I can't believe how much I missed him! (Well, yes... yes I can!) So, we're fixing to hang out and what have you - spend some much needed time together, but before I do - I have to share a story.
I did a lot of cleaning today - all the laundry, washed the sheets, the whole 9 yards! I've been contemplating this one thing for a long time, but haven't ever really done anything about it. The comforter on our bed is a "dry clean only" type. Not sure why we ended up getting something so delicate for our bedding - I guess I just didn't realize it was "dry clean only." It's threaded and snags pretty easily - so very delicate. I've had a hard time trying to justify spending who knows how much getting it dry cleaned. We have a table runner that is "dry clean only" and it costs $8 to get it done (which doesn't happen very often). So, after much debate, Steven and I decided to take the comforter to the laundry mat tonight - to put it in one of those high capacity washers. We thought that since it didn't have an agitator in it, then it should be fine. I've not done this before because I'm scared of ruining the comforter. My entire room matches it - so if we mess this thing up, it could end up costing us a lot more than a dry cleaning bill b/c we'd have to change our entire room decor. So, anyways - we take it down to the laundry mat, pay $6 for this washer and $1.50 for 41 minutes of dry time ... AND IT WORKS!! I cannot believe it! I'm really excited!! Now we'll have to get it cleaned more often.
So, why is that such a big deal!? If you know anything about me at all, this statement is going to blow your mind. Get ready - here we go: This is the first time our comforter has EVER been washed. We've had it 3 years!! I know, right!?
