To hear is to obey

Steven came across the third book in The Chronicles of Narnia at work the other day, so we've been reading it. He's already finished and I'm halfway through. I've never read these before... I'm so captured by them! It's been a while since I've read fiction, so it's nice to be able to dive into the story! I should definitely read more (fiction). I'm reading "The Horse and His Boy" and in it, a girl, Aravis goes to the Chief of Messengers and asks him to deliver a letter to her uncle. He says to her, "To hear is to obey."

I thought about that statement all day long yesterday.... "to hear is to obey." How true that is in the lives of Christians! When we hear God speak, we are to obey! To hear Him is to obey Him. We shouldn't question - or try to rationalize things.... we are to obey - immediately! Jesus said in John 14:15 "If you love me, you will obey what I command."

Do we love Him? Really?
