Journaling
I think journaling is the greatest thing ever. I've kept them since 2004. I've decided a while back to go through and type them, instead of keeping them in handwritten notebooks - to better preserve them and organize them. My plan is to go through and edit them, leaving out some details, adding others - so that one day I can let my children read them without complete embarrassment!
I started doing this a long time ago - and lost a lot of entries due to a computer crash. I have blogged a little and I'm using those entries to replace some that I lost.
I'm currently retyping 2005. It's amazing how my goals have not changed, but I've yet to accomplish them! It's so funny! I read a quote that I recorded on February 8, 2005 while Steven and I were seeking God's direction for our lives. It says,
"God may give us transition periods and times of waiting to help us depend on Him and trust His timing. If we patiently do His will during transition times, we will be better prepared to serve Him as we should when He calls us."
