Weekend Report
Steven and I went to a marriage retreat this weekend in Batesville, AR! It was a project Melanie had to do, so we went for moral support:) It turned out to be a great weekend! (AWESOME job Melanie!!!) Shane flew in from West Virginia to speak - he's amazing... by the way!!
We went through pre-marital counseling with Shane, so a lot of the stuff he talked about we already knew... but there were a few new things - and there were some things that we knew... but weren't really practicing. We learned a lot about our marriage and were able to diagnose some minor problems that we have. They're not major as of now, but if they are left alone - they could turn into huge ones later on. So... the past few days we've applied what we heard this weekend and so far it has reaped HUGE benefits!!
So that was Friday and Saturday!
We got home Saturday evening and stayed over at Opal's house until after 9:00. What a great time! haha!! Our Bible studies are... interesting... to say the VERY least! haha! We played the newlywed game (we also played it at the retreat - and won!) - and we won... AGAIN! Heck yeah baby!!
Sunday was filled with church and drama practice, plus spending time with my 3.5 month old nephew! *so cute* After church and the forever long business meeting, we went to the Smith's and stayed over there until almost 10:00 playing games and hanging out!
So this weekend we learned that we have GOT to go to bed earlier! I'm pretty tired today because the weekend was so eventful... and we stayed up late 3 nights in a row! Whew! But - it was a great time!!
