The Condition of Our Character

I've blogged about this a little before, but God reminds me over and over again about the importance of the depth and the condition of my character. The condition of my heart is God's agenda!! He promises to complete the work that he has started in me!! If God doesn't have 100% of my heart, he can't use me! "A person's heart determines everything coming out of his life." (H. Blackaby) If my heart is filled with wickedness- that is what will flow out of my life. But if my heart is filled with the Lord and his Holy Spirit, then He will flow out of me. "When the heart is pure, the life is pure, and therefore usable by God for his purposes." (Blackaby)

It is God who does all the work, but as Henry Blackaby puts it, "it requires our obedience to what he does in us." God will lead us the in the direction he wants us to go... we just have to obey.

God desires for us to experience everything he has to offer us! He wants us to experience Him and He wants us to walk in perfect fellowship with Him. He cares about the condition of our hearts and the development of our character!! His desire is to develop my character so that I may come to experience Him!

There are times when we will prosper and times when we will fail...it's a process - but God promises that He will finish it. When our character is tested, we must "live out, in real life, all we say and believe about God."
