Faithfully Fit

I'm gearing up to begin a new women's fitness ministry!! Faithfully Fit! We're starting Monday, November 3rd at 5:30. I'm beginning to get a little nervous about it. Several factors have already become decent sized issues for this: It was heavily suggested that we wait until the beginning of the month to start this fitness program so that there would be time to advertise and so that people would be more apt to join since it was at the start of a new month, instead of the middle. Good points I guess and so far that advice has proven to be beneficial. Several problems with this day: (1) Our pastor has called our church to fast on Nov. 3 for the election - not sure if anyone has ever tried to exercise hardcore w/o food - but that could be difficult, especially for elders! But no worries, we have a solution. (2) Youth Rally Monday Nov. 3 - at our church! It's not a huge deal b/c the rally begins 30 minutes after class is over, but I have to attend the rally too... and have a part in this thing - so I get to go all sweaty *yay* (3) Pancake breakfast: Kiwanas will be in the gym preparing for the pancake breakfast on Tuesday.

So... we've had to relocate- which has tacked on a few more issues. But... I'm trying not to stress too much! The new location of the class will, in the long run, help avoid other scheduling issues!

As I said above, I'm getting really nervous! Enrollment continues to increase, which thrills me, but also terrifies me! I'm the sole instructor of this class - which means there's no room for mistakes or mishaps! I have a few short days (and much happening within those short days) to get it all together. I still have to clean out our new room and purchase a few more items to get going! And of course the actual instructing part terrifies me - sort of like stage fright!! It's an exciting thing that so many people have decided to come - the more people, the better the class is! When there are many people there, its louder, the energy is there, and there seems to be a sense of competitiveness not only for people in attendance, but for me as well. I find the most fit person in the entire room - and of course, I have to show them up. A student cannot outdo an instructor. So it helps me to up my game!

Ok - way too much rambling on that I'm sure - but just pray that all goes well!!

  1. Aw, I'm sure it will all work out. It sounds like such a great idea, I wish our church had something like that.
