Our Thoughts
Our thoughts are one of the most priceless things we possess.
Mitchelle Tolle says, "There are three things that shape our lives. Our thoughts, our words, and our deeds. But thinking is the king. Thought shapes our words. Thought precedes action. Thought inspires effort. Thought reveals why we should do something and enables us to influence others. Everything you say or fail to say, do or fail to do, is the offspring of thought. As your learn to master your thoughts, you gain authority..."
"Finally brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, what ever is admirable - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy - think about such things." - Phil.4:8
"For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. 4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every though to make it obedient to Christ." - 2 Corinthians 10:3-5
Let us remember to always take our thoughts captive - making every one obedient to Christ. Our thoughts are the beginning of all we say and do - every action we perform was once preceded by a thought!
Let us not forget what James said in chapter 1 verses 14-16. "but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death. Don't be deceived, my dear brothers."
Let Christ rule our minds!
