Like A Tree

Is the title of the new book I'm reading! The full title is "Like a Tree: A radical approach to living the good life." It's by Christian Author Mitchell Tolle. The purpose of this book is to "shine a Bright light on God's ideas about true success, money, wealth, materialism, prosperity, and riches." I'm only in the beginning of this book... but so far - it's really good!!!
Here is a passage from my reading today:
"When you embrace and delight in the instruction or the Lord, you shall be like a tree planted by a river. You'll be fruitful, ever-growing, never withering, always abounding, strong, unmovable and everything you do will prosper. If you read on, it (Ps. 1) says that those who ignore or rebel against God's instructions "are not so." The point is clearly made: Get far away from people who give you bad advice. You need good counsel. You can't spend your life doing wrong things and expect things to turn out right. It's not enough to work hard or even make sacrifices. These things, hard work and sacrifice, are only part of the equation of true success (True success is blessedness). It's not enough to do these things right. You must also do right things...It's not enough to learn something and apply it. You must learn the right thing and do that. It's possible to get information or even knowledge and miss the truth...Men often labor in vein, following blind men who mislead with great skill until the whole lot falls into disaster... Here, in these pages, you will discover that there is a trustworthy Source of counsel, a meaningful Standard, and an infallible Instructor to guide you. "

Wow! I love the analogy of the tree and so love what God is doing in yours and Stephen's lives.
