Women of Faith Weekend and 3:16

What an incredible weekend, gathered together with 7,000 women - worshipping and praising our God!! Each speaker had an amazing message to share about God's infinite grace, which was the theme of the conference. Infinite grace - something God distributes not because we deserve it, but because he WANTS to!! We had a really good time - and learned a lot about our Savior's love for us!

Max Lucado spoke a little on his new book, 3:16 - that Jesus died so WHOEVER believes in him will not perish. Not whatever... but WHOEVER. Hallelujah, I am a whoever!! God takes us however and wherever we are in our lives... and gives us infinite grace! In the book, Lucado says,"

"For God so loved the world, he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

A twenty-six word parade of hope: beginning with God, ending with life, and urging us to do the same. Brief enough to write on a napkin and memorize in a moment, yet solid enough to weather two thousand years of storms and questions. If you know nothing of the Bible, start here. If you know everything in the Bible, return here. We all need the reminder. The heart of the human problem is the heart of the human. And God's treatment is described in John 3:16. He loves. He gave. We believe. We live.

The words are to Scripture what the Mississippi is to America - an entryway into the heartland. Believe or dismiss them, embrace or reject them, any serious consideration of Christ must include them....The verse is an alphabet of grace, a table of contents to the Christian hope, each word a safe-deposit box of jewels. "

What incredible words! Needless to say, it was my uttermost joy to hear Max speak his heart on this subject, which turned into his newest project.

There were so many favorite moments - but one absolute favorite times of the conference... was sitting in the arena, among thousands of women, listening to the sounds of raised voices! There is something so very sweet about women lifting their voices to God...in perfect harmony! I caught myself closing my eyes and just listening to the perfect sounds...only a portion of what the choir will be like in heaven! I just exclaimed to God, "God... are you hearing this??? Are you hearing this???!!!!" Very awesome moment!!

God is good... all the time!
