You are forgiven, for you love much

I had a great workout today! It was pretty chilly though! My legs are soooo sore from yesterday...and today really! I doubt I'll be able to walk later they hurt so bad, but I love being sore! It means I've done something productive!

I had a wonderful quiet time today!! I like to start my time off by reading a Psalm…

“Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers. Not so the wicked! They are like chaff, that the wind blows away. Therefore the wicket will not stand in the judgement, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. For the Lord watches over the way of righteous, but the way of the wicket will parish.” –Ps. 1

I’m still reading through Beth Moore’s “Jesus the One and Only.” Today’s study came from Luke 7 when a sinful woman anoints Jesus feet in the house of the Pharisee, Simon…and from this time I learned...

“My heart and mind are of greater importance to Him than my words and deeds.” – Beth Moore

Christ never minimizes our sin… He never calls sin less than it is – but even though this woman had many committed many, Christ forgave her because she loved Him!

She knew who this man was – and she was saved by His love! Her faith was in his grace!! As Beth Moore says, her love didn’t save her, but his did!

“Christ never preached the annihilation of affection. He taught the redirection of affection. Human affection first directed to God and filtered through His hands returns to us far healthier and fit for others. Love that goes through Him first is filtered.” – Beth Moore

My bible has study notes in the footer.. and v. 47's note reads...
"Overflowing love is the natural response to forgiveness and the appropriate consequence of faith. But only those who realize the depth of their sin can appreciate the complete forgiveness that God offers them."
