My first day...

I've worked really hard the last week trying to get into art classes... for my major (Fine Arts) - the professors have had to pull a few strings to allow me to take their classes. So... the first day of class was interesting! Never have I been so... stressed out/out of place in my life!! That night when I went to bed, I could not sleep!! A friend of mine told me once that if you can't fall asleep, perhaps you should talk to the Lord - he might have something to tell you before you go to sleep! So, I prayed, thanking God for the day and asking him to reveal himself to me! My first day was awful, so I told him all about that and expressed my concerns to him. Then I asked, "God, are you sure you want me to be an art major?" And he responded, "Since when did I tell you to become an art major?" And so it hit me... I decided that for myself! God has not called me to major in fine arts! God has called me to be an Early Childhood Education major... to teach young children!!

So, I worked really hard today to get enrolled... to drop the fine arts courses and add the ones that I need. I have a great advisor helping me go through the steps I need in order to complete this degree, and I thank God for allowing her to advise me! So... yay!

God is so absolutely awesome, and when we are out of his will - things are crazy and chaotic... but inside of his perfect plan, things are magnificent and wonderful!!
